Don McIntosh, Northwest Labor Press's editor, has sent out an email this week soliciting support from the NW Labor Press's online readership. If you're from the Pacific Northwest (or just a supporter of labor news generally), I'm sure he'd appreciate your contributions and your words of support to keeping the Labor Press afloat and even expanding its online base of operations:

It's long past time that I reached out directly to our email edition subscribers. The Labor Press began its website in 1997, and created this email newsletter in 2011. Today, 1,700 of you get it. I want to hear from you. And I want to ask for your support.

Since February we've made significant investments in our website, which hadn't had a redesign since 2016. You may have noticed an improvement in the look and the load time.

Is the website something we should prioritize? Should we devote staff resources to publish online first when a story is time-sensitive? Your support would make that possible.

The Labor Press is a nonprofit news organization. Our site has never had a paywall, and it never will — that would go against our mission of reporting on issues that matter to union members and working people.
