i am looking for messed up yuri. ideally manga, my attention span is nonexistent. it can be entirely sfw, it can be suggestive or explicit, it doesn't matter, but i want to read about broken, fucked up people navigating and figuring out themselves, and their unconventional relationships.

i don't particularly care about the setting or the scenario. doom and gloom is not a requirement (but appreciated). to borrow vernacular from A Scene i'm not in: gimme the dead doves.

you can an anon ask if you don't want to put your face on your suggestion, otherwise, just comment or rebug

(ideally i'd also like to ask you to give me a sales pitch if the title itself is not the sales pitch)

i appreciate it very much

EDIT: not fanfiction, though. i'm probably not in Whatever That Fandom is From, so most of the rancidity is going to be lost on me. and like. that's why i'm here.

I mean, the first thing that comes to mind as messed up for me is "Adachi and Shimamura". Two girls with strange minds, and hang-ups. One of them struggling to understand other people and emotions, and the other deeply clingy, jealous, and insecure. Yet somehow they end up finding a way to fit together. Not really fixing themselves or each other, just learning to understand and live with themselves more. Basically embracing that it's okay to be a bit fucked up. It can get dramatic at times, but it's satisfying to see them grow closer.

If you want something fluffier but still problematic, then "Breasts Are My Favorite Things in the World!" is certainly... unusual. And horny. With a seemingly perfect girl asking another girl she's only just met if she can grope her huge boobs, and the other girl agreeing for reasons she doesn't quite understand herself. The love part develops slowly as their unusual relationship progresses.

Kitanai Kimi ga Ichiban Kawaii has more dead doves than an outdoor cat sanctuary. I stopped reading fairly early on, but its about two girls who engage in some very unsafe, non-sane, and dubiously consensual kinks.

My Girlfriend's Not Here Today is about Yuni, a girl who's frustrated by her pushover jock girlfriend, Nanase. Yuni vents her frustrations about being stood up multiple times on an anonymous twitter account and gets blackmailed by Fuuko, a classmate who discovers the account. It's half yuri NTR erotica, half fun toxic dynamics between Yuni and Fuuko. It's the kind of series that inspires massive arguments about which of the girls has done nothing wrong.

Destroy It All and Love Me In Hell is something I'm catching up on and I don't really know to summarize it, so I hope this is one where the title is a selling point!

Kono Koi wo Hoshi ni wa Negawanai is a lot softer than these other three, but really good, so I feel obligated to mention it. Fuyuki has loved Eri since childhood, but Eri is seemingly straight, although she also relies on Fuyuki as an emotional crutch and is completely codependent towards her. Then Fuyuki gets a gf, and Eri goes on a downwards spiral.

so i ended up reading the entirety of Kitanai Kimi ga Ichiban Kawaii in one sitting and i think i'm gonna need a few days to digest that one. i can safely say that the kink stuff at the start is 85% exists to filter out the audience, and 15% to establish "these girls are Not Okay".

this is exactly the awful shit i want to read, thank you VERY much for the recommendation. i hated every second of it. i'm gonna go cry now.

I'm glad you appreciated it! Yeah, I was sort of aware that it had moved out of the fetish-a-week premise, but I just got filtered during the bug-eating chapter and never got around to checking back.

Also, since I'm already replying, I wanted to throw out a manga called Our "Love" is Disgusting. It's only 2 chapters in at this point, so it's hard to say what direction it will ultimately take, but so far its about these girls forming a connection over their "disgusting" fetishes and obsessions. Worth keeping an eye on, the author's last work was super well received!

ok so NOT a manga, but a very fucked up lesbian book...
"Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke" by Eric LaRocca.
To sum up the book, it's the most disturbing lesbian relationship I've read and I loved every bit of it. The whole book is centred on this relationship, through internet chat logs.
But most importantly:
What have you done today to deserve your eyes?
