disclaimer: i am not a doctor and i cannot "prescribe" anything; i'm just an artist who's trying to find stretches to help them deal with their own tendonitis flare-ups

i recommend looking through and trying any that you're interested in, and be careful with yourself as you try them. you know your limits best and you should heed them

"Exercises for Fiber Artists"

"Hand Exercises for Artists"

"Hand, Wrist, Neck, & Shoulder Stretches & Exercises for Artists"

"Gamer stretches: 8 exercises to reduce injury risk"

"Finger, Hand and Wrist Stretches to Prevent Gaming Injuries"

"Tennis Elbow: Exercises"

"Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: Exercises"

"9 Repetitive Strain Injury Stretching Exercises"

you don't need to check all of these out, of course. i just wanted to give a few resources in an easy-to-access format to get folks started!

as always, do what you can and don't push yourself too hard. take lots of breaks when drawing, typing, gaming, knitting, crocheting, or anything else that involves a lot of fine motor movement of the hands/wrists

as someone who gets tennis elbow often, i wish i had taken more steps to prevent it early on. it's never too late to start though! my body deserves the care i can give it, and your body deserves your efforts too

let's all take better care of our arms, hands, and wrists together :D

Thank you for this!! I've been struggling with epicondylitis and have been unable to draw or game for the past year. I see a physical therapist twice a week and we're making good progress, but my recovery is very slow and sometimes I just start hurting a lot more for no understandable reason. I find that varying my stretches usually helps me getting out of these phases faster, so having a good old masterpost full of different stretches will definitely be helpful!!
