i agree with this 100%. almost every interaction ive seen on cohost has been kind or at least neutral towards everyone involved and i really don’t think anyone should be choosing to use that kind of language when you can choose to be civil instead. you don’t HAVE to tell someone to kill themselves

nevermind the fact that is an insanely (and commonly) triggering thing to say that could have a larger mental impact than any other offhand insult

i personally had a bad experience recently because I accidentally stumbled across a post that described desire/method to self-harm in a level of detail that had a significant negative impact on my mental state for the day, with zero content warnings or tags on the post.

cohost has the potential to be a welcoming and friendly environment for all kinds of internet users, i very strongly feel that way! but to achieve that we need to do better. be kind, if you feel the desire to tell someone “kys” PLEASE log off and engage in some self-care, and remember to use content warnings. :eggbug-smile-hearts:
