20 minutes of incredibly trite shoujo drama then 3 minutes of the sickest fantasy mech action you've ever seen
This is the first time either of us have watched Escaflowne. Gotta be honest, plot's not doing much for me, but goddamn does the show have an amazing sense of place and tone. An immaculate vibe, if you will.
