EDIT: Let me be clear, the thing I find horrifying about this is to imagine a marketplace with 10,000 things released on it in a year when the average user of that marketplace gets to 5. It's throwing a message in a bottle into an ocean made entirely out of oceans in bottles.
Consider how many things launch on steam every day if any given user is only going to play five things a year
I basically only used steam for guilty gear this year and even then I'd managed to play a bit of like 20
me using a modern gaming pc to play Team Fortress 2 and Deltarune
I wonder how much that's affected by people who are basically inactive?
a horrifying amount of people I know play exactly one video game and have done so for as long as I've known them, and christ that is a horrifying thought to me
