this is the kinda popup that, if you comply with it, will then be followed up with your entire screen being filled up with the worst varieties of advertising sludge while the content you came for is delegated to a cramped little box swimming in shit

especially if they don't give you a "disable" option (which, while this one seems to, they get docked a million points due to their cutesy use of uwuspeak for their financial interests)

Thinking about how someone originally made up the "oopsie woopsie uwu" copypasta as like a parody of how terrible it is when sites or companies try to write their serious messages in fake casual style and thinking about how someone looked at it and went "hahaha that's funny let's use it we're being ironic or something" and like there's some sort of disconnect where like they didn't actually get the point? and bleeeeeeeh

I see that, I'm installing more ad blockers just for that site

i always just wanna... wrap people in a blanket, sort of forcefully, and be like... i don't want malware or loud noises. tell your ad server to suck less instead of guilt tripping me.

As an aside, I got so many "please turn off your ad blocker please" popups before I installed uBlock Origin that I decided to go and install uBlock....

It took me reading the comments to realize that this is an actual pop-up you encountered. No parody can top this.

Pop-up messages like this is why I just have uBlock Origin enabled all the time.
