daily knowledge: with the release of Windows Vista and Office 2007, Microsoft switched the default font of their office suite from Times New Roman to Calibri. it distinguished itself by being a sans serif font with rounded edges that was appealing in both large print and at low resolutions. it was replaced by Aptos in january of this year.
