imo it's stupid thatmasks were never required in medical facilities even before covid. it only makes sense to me to wear a mask in the place sick and hurt people go? like idk i know I think different bc im immunocompromised but still.

one of my last weeks at walgreens this year, after mostly everyone had stopped masking, i saw people coming in still wearing masks but just like. around their chins and i was just silently taking psychic damage the entire time they were in the store. like. you recognize that it is a good idea to wear a mask even though everyone else has ditched them; you still do not understand that they aren't magic amulets????

it's very frustrating to become aware of just how little anyone paid attention or learned, up to and including supposed medical professionals. if i were a doctor i would be the CDC's personal nemesis at this point

I had to wait in line 2 hours to get my shot last week, and I was one of only a handful of people wearing a mask.

But the most egregious were the nurses. Only about two nurses were wearing masks, one had it under her chin. The other was wearing a surgical mask, not an n95 or anything better.

I'm just sitting there, waiting in line while people are hacking constantly, thinking "How many people came into this small, unventilated room today? How much COVID is in the air right this minute? And you think you are invincible or something?"

even my doctors dont wear a mask - except for my psychiatrist, somehow 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄... and that's only when she sees me wearing a mask. it's absolutely abysmal as someone with a now-weakened immune system due to long covid (which i also masked for)!!!
