the only evidence of my fascination with eurorack (before I determined that a complete ideal setup would cost me $4000) is that i own a module that converts voltage to smoke, when supplied with a 12v 5a ac adapter

i was working on designing some low-cost eurorack modules a while ago... i even have a few working modules i designed and assembled. i was planning on selling them eventually (in addition to having them OSHW) but the parts/pcbs/panels for that ended up costing money i didn't have. i'd like to get back to that someday...
If you ever want to mess around with eurorack without dropping new car money, VCVrack is a free eurorack sim with a lot of community plugins. obviously it's not going to be able to simulate a smoke generator though
"a module that converts voltage to smoke" lives in most vintage computers, and I'm the guy that has to excise these demons
