A lot of the film that I shoot is fucked up old garbage. I do so primarily because buying fresh film is expensive (and sometimes impossible) and I spent way too much time on ebay hunting for deals, so I've ended up with massive piles of extremely questionable film.
Slide film in particular is kind of interesting, because the color layers tend to age at different rates, which leads to some really wild color shifts. In the case of most of the expired Kodak I've shot, this tends to skew mostly purple. A lot of times I make some effort to try and correct out the color shifts to get a more usable image, but I have to admit, it's actually kind of fun sometimes to just let it happen and let it seem like this was taken on some other strange planet from a kitschy 60s sci-fi that looks like Earth except for weird purple rocks.
