don't need em, got no use or space for em, really shouldn't be spending money rn
but
y'ever just see something and go "ooooh"
gave the hip to my coworker who will be having his hip replacement replaced soonish
thought you meant "not currently in use, but they once were"
they could be used, i've got all the metal that ever went into (and then came back out of) my body. if you ask nicely they'll just autoclave it.
although i'm thinking about this more and it's unlikely the hip would come back out, so nevermind scratch that theory
Autoclaving and knowing what it's been exposed to are important. (I learned what happens if you use coolant or lubricant that doesn't correctly break down, in an applied materials class.)
