the commuter cars tango! i saw one in sf once. they are horrifyingly fast, disturbingly small, and weighs more than 3000 lbs. the late-production cars used lithium-ion batteries, which were much lighter than the previous lead-acids, so they added lead ballast to the battery box to ensure the car was heavy enough to handle correctly
