hello gamers. in this post, we are gonna get into the beginning of the fan translation of the 2008 DS version of Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Raising Project, a life sim in the lineage of Gainax's earlier Princess Maker games. we'll get started with the game, meet Rei, & talk a little about why this is so cursed. I'm just gonna assume anyone reading this is familiar with Eva in general so no explanation of the general story or characters from the anime.

anyone know about any crimes

it's called Neon Genesis Evangelion: Ayanami Raising Project & it was originally a Japan-only PC game released in 2001, though I'm playing a DS port from 2008 which was fan translated recently. basically, it's a take on Gainax's Princess Maker life sim series but you are a NERV officer who is Rei's guardian & you give her a schedule every week, which affects her stats & allows the story to progress in different ways. the TV show is also going on alongside all this, but from your/Rei's perspective & you have events that come up or have to fight Angels occasionally. however, there are different endings based on how you play.

anyway, please look forward to more but for now here's the intro video. (click image below for link to Youtube). it's just shots from the anime with Cruel Angel's thesis in the background, so if this was the whole game it would be a 10/10 but there's a lot more & some of it is Very Bad. I'll get into that later though. also, as you can see here, all "screencaps" will just be taken with my phone camera. it might look shitter than if I was playing on PC & doing real screenshots but it's Real. look out for "#cruel audrey's thesis" if you wanna follow along
