one of the things i cannot actually stand in people, at large, is the smallest criticism resulting in "i am the worst, you are 100% right, please stop attacking me" especially after criticizing someone else

you aren't being fucking attacked, your statements are being engaged with and disagreed with

you cannot always be in attack mode

several of my worst exes have done this, constantly, as their own "destroying public bathrooms" and i fucking get it but it's exhausting
