I've not even been a fan of the Pokemon series since like, Diamond, and I'm losing my mind here. There have been lots of changes. It's part of why I'm no longer interested! At all! Basically every single rough edge in the series has been smoothed off that isn't related to the lack of adequate AA in the games, and they didn't have that many to begin with
