i mean of course i like love honk just fine, it's just like, what i grew up listening to, y'know? it's my parents' honks. and yeah i was really active in the post-honkcore scene but after awhile it's like, how post are you if you're still honking? honestly chillhonk is what i listen to most these days, it's relaxing to listen to at work but you still get the emotional release from that gentle ^{hoooooooooonk}. man i can't believe i've mellowed so much, you know i even recorded some honkstep demos back in the day? they were sooooo bad but my buddy brent at the local station actually played them on air a couple of times, which was really cool of him because he usually only played oldies. like imagine you're tuning in expecting nothing weirder than a honkabilly track and then the bass just fuckin drops
