in respect to my domming protips ask earlier, a bit i wanted to say connected to the ending part but not in the context of a full-throttle ask on a global feed.
the nature of storytelling connecting to kink play is exactly why, in my experience, the beings i know who experience psychosis (including myself!) tend to just be better at it.
when your whole existence is so tied up in storytelling, when the Narrative wiggles your brain around in the right way to define your being, it really means you have a much more complete view of the nature of stories than anyone around you. it's quite Fascinating how easy it is to direct that at another.
i spoke of how domming is like "weaving worlds", and when you both have compatible psychoses, that can take on a much more literal meaning, of stepping in and out of a Narrative you both define, being able to shape the story as you will to make it better and more powerful.
there's a reason kink play can be kind of spiritual for me, this ties directly into how connected to Narrative we tend to be.
and as an old post on twitter i love to quote once said:
worship and magic is best as a form of play.
play is not unimportant or trivial.
