Battletech (2018) is just awesome. Haven't played it in probably 3 years but I started a new campaign today and immediately remembered how everything works and instantly started having fun.

i've been so curious to play it. i'm just getting into tactics games (Into the Breach).
i'm listening parts of the OST as part of my work playlist and goodness such a vibe
I've still got it installed on my Steam Deck. It's not a GREAT fit, but it works well enough and I'm happy just dipping in now and again
I've been playing it again with the BTA mod and having a great time.
Brings the timeline forwards to 3062, so a bunch of new mechs, weapons, equipment and factions all feature. Main thing for me is it lets use vehicles and battle armour in missions.
Ooooh nice, will have to try it. Battle armour was my favourite to use in tabletop.
After a years of trying, I was finally able to get it to click Last like, October? and the game kicks so much ass.
It's so good. I found that the Urban dlc slowed the campaign down too much to play those maps regularly, but god, did they capture the mood of massive machines moving through a deeply human space.
I just started a Roguetech playthrough and it might be a little too much for me.
Try BTA or BEX:CE if Roguetech is too much for you. BEX:CE is closer to vanilla than BTA but both are good.
I still never really grasped how to play Battletech properly but watching Falconer Gray run MW3 got me pumped to play MW5 again and it's a lot of fun. Coming from MWO for so long helped.
I feel like I'm bad at learning, I need to just read a guide how to not die when grossly outnumbered and have fun with it.
