As the events of this last week have unfolded, I can't help but notice the phonetic similarity between Palisade and Palestine. Was this an intentional choice from the beginning? Or simply a coincidence?
Totally unintentional, despite the overlaps. Palisade first came up as a potential name for PARTIZAN, our previous season in this setting, There's an old Pusher tier Patreon post where we shared some of the convo that got us to PZN, and from that I've plucked these screenshots. I don't think I have the recordings on hand anymore, but you know, imagine the first line of PARTIZAN 01 except I say each of these other names.
It came down to the first three here (Coda, Palisade, and Partizan), and though we picked Partizan, I always carried a soft spot for Palisade.
I'll also add: I already have a name for the third season in this arc of the Divine Cycle, but it is not one of these.
