I also don't have a great answer for this these days. Cobbling things together, searching for stuff when I see it bubble up. Curious what others are reading, though.

As a person that can doom out fast-- I don't have any good advice for finding regular news; but I do make sure I visit https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org on at least a weekly basis, like taking vitamins for my worldview.
I really like this phrasing "taking vitamins for my worldview". Thanks for sharing!
I'm subscribed to a local newspaper, haaretz for Jewish news, and the New Yorker for like culture and whatnot. I realized that I don't have to keep track of everything so instead of using aggregators I just signed up directly to news sites for things that do matter. It's been really good for my mental health
i’ve been signing up for email newsletters from a handful of smaller sites - the Intercept, 404 Media, Hell Gate, and then getting world news piecemeal. the system needs some refinement
personally, al jazeera for global news, financial times for uk (weirdly has become the home of some of thr most explicitly left wing analysis here), then a local indie paper for local stuff
I listen to to podcast version of Democracy Now!, Movement Memos (analysis), and Citation Needed (analysis).
