I’ve been spending a lot of time unplugging recently. Being more aware of the world around me, more present with tangible connections. I feel like with social media, connections are fleeting. Yes, those connections can be and often are important, but they can vanish in an instant.
The time I used to spend mindlessly scrolling sites like Twitter I’ve been trying to replace. Reading a book. Chatting with people in private discords. Writing music. Getting better at the things I care about and want to be better at.
It feels refreshing. It feels healthier.
I enjoy my time here, I really do. But I’m also happy not being here and I’m glad.
cohost is a marble slab and I can carve it into whatever I want.
