I was thinking about how it's become a given that when Elaine and I shop for groceries, we get a kitkat bar that we can enjoy later, and it kind of hangs out on the kitchen counter for a day or two until we have it for desert.
But I know I've been thinking about game design too much (and also that I'm v tired and sick this week) because it formed in my brain as something like downtime rules for an rpg, "a kitkat token can be expended to for a small, instant boost to your and your partner's Mood. A kitkat will be restored upon visiting a grocery store, however only one kitkat can be stored at a time, so be sure to use it before you have to buy groceries again."
