Hi I'm Dana, I mostly just tool around with friends, play RPGs, and listen to podcasts, but I've also been known to make podcasts at SuperIdols! RPG and I've written a couple of short rpgs at my itch page and on twitter.
This was the official logo of the Shareware Marketing company (later Atlantic Coast plc and SWREG), and was officially registered as a trademark in 1989. It depicts a floppy disk being passed from one person to another. Shareware Marketing's slogan was "One day, all software will be sold this way".

...well, one quick look into the history of goatse and I realize it's just a case of things aging very, very poorly
The .cx TLD didn't even exist until 1997, so if anything, goatse is imitating the official logo of shareware
