I'd love for an excuse to get a 3D printer or something (not that I have the budget), they look cool and fun, but as far as I can tell from watching a bunch of recommended youtube videos about them the main thing people use 3D printers for is making organizers for all their 3D filament and other Maker Tools.

I haven't done any gunpla models in like a year or two but if I did that would probably be my first project... I've looked custom-made holders for model kit tools (nippers, tweezers, etc) and said "that looks really nice but I don't use them enough to justify the cost", but unfortunately the same applies to a 3d printer lol

Edit: on the off chance you do get ahold of one, or access to one, the "gridfinity" system seems to be a good way of designing custom bins or organizers for 3d printing, that's partly what I was watching videos about
