arknights, the game: Violent rebellion, even justified violent rebellion, is so easily subverted into a tool of empire, being twisted to perpetuate the very systems that they rally against. The solution is not to abstain from violence, but to understand that it is a means, not the end. Rebellion without love for the oppressed isn't rebellion, it is just war. Reach out a hand before you ever draw your sword - but always keep your hand on the hilt, for the despot will never offer you the same grace.
