TT: anybody wanna hear about how I accidentally broke windows on my (spare) laptop?
TT: yes you do.
TT: so I was trying to set it up to dualboot with ubuntu, as you do, and had to of course create a partition. however, something went fucking wrong, possibly because I had to switch it to uefi mode instead of legacy in the first place, and it gave me a popup warning me that the partition type I had selected was very likely to Not Work
TT: lo and behold ubuntu gave me a fatal error message while installing and then quit. instead of booting into windows automatically it just left me on a black screen with some text about the error, and instead of panicking, I just shut it off
TT: that did not help
TT: I set up all the bios settings back to how they were and it still would. not. boot.
TT: yeah so apparently when setting up my partition I deleted windows somehow. or something
TT: so now I have to use a recovery usb to put windows 10 back on it and hope it works again after that :|
