When a critic sits at their desk (on a good day, and not every day on the job is a good one) poetry is what I believe they dream of achieving. Wrangling language into a new shape, the shape of what the critic experienced upon contact with the work they’ve engaged.
Seriously though I am a zoomer just trying to get by writing essays part time while scraping together gig work and then i get to see people my age doing much better taking money from corporations to reinforce an unimaginative and diminished view of art/media. Hate it here (not cohost, the influencers have not invaded here)!
