I do a bunch of podcasts!

Oh what's this? A new episode of Coffee & Comic Books about some of the hardest shonen comics that have ever been printed? Well don't mind if I do. Yorknew fucking rocks, this episode was so much fun. Man. Yorknew.

Anyway, you can listen to this episode for free on our patreon or in its own feed at exportaud.io/comicbooks. Our next episode will be for the $5 patrons wherein we cover Greed Island, so make sure to tune in for that! And as always hit the read more to see some images of other comics Rick and I talked about during this episode, I'll tell you right now that the Tony Wong comics Rick introduced me to are wild as hell.

And now for some of the other comics we talked about in this episode.

  • Rick has been reading a whole bunch of Tony Wong comics, which are mostly dudes fighting.

Some cringe writing from Batman: Hong Kong
Some choice sound effects from Batman: Hong Kong such as Krutch! Bwakt! and Kuh-Brash

  • The Poe Clan, a classic shoujo that i've been (re)-reading. i feel like i've mentioned this in another one of these cohost posts before? but i've been digging in more of late.

  • Funny Things, a comic I impulse purchased and have yet to dig into. It seems neat though! If you'd like to learn more, it turns out Jeff Smith of Bone fame wrote a review of Funny Things for the New York Times

  • Last but not least, I dont want to include as many HxH images as I did last time because it is 11pm as I write to you dear reader. But please do enjoy this page we fawned over trying to spot the references. It's like Orion #5 all over again.
