Autumn in Winter

I fully intend to go through the porn creator masterpost to follow more people, but also I have to be at the hospital* in a couple hours so that's taking up a chunk of my day. This evening perhaps.

*Getting one final ultrasound on my liver just to make absolutely sure there's nothing wrong. The results so far have been fine and this last check doesn't seem to be for a major concern, just one last possibility to check off the list.

There should be a study about how someone with a moderately-large Twitter following can lose their shit about something trivially fixable, and cause damage that echoes forever.

I’ve seen this take dozens of times now by unrelated people with large audiences.

EDIT: I came back and cropped the username and avatar out of this screenshot. I don't know anything about this person, I just screenshotted the millionth tweet with this take that came across my timeline to show this sentiment is spreading, and didn't mean to dunk on them specifically.

If the culture we are trying to build here is one which devalues the hot takes and dunks economy, then perhaps it's a benefit if the kind of people who fall for these knee-jerk takes about cats hating chili or dumpling man did a boop, or whatever, are put off of this website by their very same taste for misinformation.

Consider it the Great Filter for social media, but in reverse.
