@LezLiz asked:

If someone were to stream Mushroom Musume, how long of a session should they be prepared to do? How likely is a clueless player to stumble upon some juicy queer content? Anything particular you'd like people to know about the game?

Thanks for checking in! :) Detailed answers under the cut. (I talk too much sorry haha)

From what I've seen from other streamers, it seems like most people can complete a single playthrough in about an hour an a half (but it could be a bit longer or shorter depending on how long you like to Ruminate on Choices or if you find any particularly deep rabbit holes)

Gay stuff in the game is swirled throughout - for context the entire dev team is queer, so there's a lot of queerness that's just Baked In. Mushroom Musume is sort of about being an outsider fitting into neither human or fae society cleanly... Which I think ends up with a lot of very clear Queer Subtext(tm) that borders on Just Text at times. (Also the initial player character is nonbinary, along with a spattering of other NPCs)

If you're specifically looking for that juicy romance, we have a bit but it's not guaranteed to show up in every playthrough. Right now there's four romancable girls, and in a given playthrough I think there's about a 50/50 chance of meeting one because of the way events are randomized. (There are no boys, much to the chagrin of like two people in our itch comments lol). If you want to guarantee a date, in your first playthrough after entering the Queer Halloween Stories Bundle password (you can find it in the download instructions on itch, then enter it in the 'password' menu ingame to unlock some stuff... be sure to support the bundle if you haven't!) you can trick or treat at a clothier shop to meet one of the romantic interests.

re: things people should know... That's a toughie πŸ€” We're planning a big update next month with some revamped UI stuff and new content. After that we'll be releasing a full paid version on Steam with ~even more stuff~ so the game is still evolving a lot!
