Honestly the real MVP card was Piercing Wail. I got very lucky early on with the relic that auto-upgrades any skill added to your deck, then Pandora's Box from the Act 1 boss which got rid of my defends/attacks.

Act 2 was a breeze, Act 3 was scary but manageable, and then the game dropped me against the worst possible boss for a shiv/dex/after image deck--Time Eater. I was barely holding on, chipping away with the 2-3 poison cards I had grabbed just in case--but running out of steam. Once the Time Eater was low HP, I drew a Piercing Wail. I used everything I could to kill them that turn so they'd enter their debuff cleansing phase. I barely managed, used Piercing Wail, and reset their strength to zero. Everything after that was terrifying but manageable.

(No, I did not kill the Heart. I won't even try on Silent.)
