I wrote about this on twxttxr as it was happening but I guess I didn't touch on it here, so here's the basic story behind this strangely-popular snack, which goes beyond "thing in the shape of another thing":
Heiando Umetsubo sent out an email confirming a third variety of Puyo Puyo Manju for January (custard cream!), which will be a limited-quantity, seasonal-only release. The question now is, will it be Carbuncle-shaped, a la the classic custard Puyoman?
