all this anti-trans legislation across the us is the work of like eight specific organized people.

it's not a representation of a world that exists. it's an attempt by a few hucksters to force the world into a shape that it freaks them out that it isn't naturally falling into.

anecdotally, right, i'm fortunate enough not to have a biological family or workplace to deal with, but in my early recovery i was so terrified of going outside and interacting with people in public. i mean i always have been, but being transfeminine on top of my past horrors? egad!

actually though, since about six months in, when i stopped going stealth and started to get a sense of myself as my own person, people have been way way kinder than they ever were to my predecessor. kinder, more accommodating, generally friendlier and more open. strangers see me and they mostly seem to think, "oh heck, she can't have it easy, but look at her persevering anyway. i don't want to add to her problems; how can i make this smoother?"

you could call that patronizing i guess, but shit i'll take it, whatever it is

i of course get all the catcalls and unwanted proposals and disregard and weird presumption that goes along with being a girl in a society, but most of the daily problems i face are more generally about being feminine than transfeminine in particular.

because, like...

you know how that is πŸ˜‘
