rock lobster by the b52s is the most singularly mystifying song i've ever heard

"it wasn't a rock... it was a rock lobster!" is delivered with the intonation of a gay little joke, but it's... it's nothing. what's the punchline. that's not a punchline.
this man sounds so violently angry about tame summer fun

the section with the fish HAD to have been improvised
near the end one of the background singers just starts doing the legend of zelda theme???
