Lotus: The Self-Made Witch, our tiny visual novel with a drag & drop crafting minigame, is coming to Steam in Q1 2023!

Final exams day has arrived at St. Bertrude's Academy of Magic and Witchcraft, and there's no doubt that you're going to graduate today! You're The Self-Made Witch after all; everyone's rooting and cheering for you~ Except uh, Sage. They're just like that though. Don't worry too much, they're harmless. You'll graduate together, won't you?

The game will release on Steam alongside the much awaited Version 1.2 update, which will fix the camera direction during the VN portions so it doesn't move so suddenly, add an ingredients list with descriptions during regular gameplay to help players remember what they've put in their cauldrons, an epilogue, and more! Your wishlists will help more players find our game~

tofurocks is a small indie games company making queer stuff, in all senses of the word. We primarily develop narrative-focused games (read: interactive fiction and visual novels), though we're looking to branch out into other genres of games soon too. day 7: I think we all know the obvious answer is that one in December which Capitalism pretends that everyone celebrates by default. I am old enough to remember when stores would at least have the common courtesy to wait until after the third Thursday of November to start pulling out the fake snow and plastic trees; now it's at the stroke of midnight on November 1, if only because they need to sell all their excess Halloween candy to make room for the fancy tins of popcorn. It's empty and horrible and meaningless, and I've never spent the day with a group of people who could give me a surprise gift I'd actually appreciate or use.

A hobby of mine when grocery shopping (at the White American stores) is looking for the latest food hybrids and trends on the selves. Sometimes these foods look and sound good. Sometimes they are utterly bizarre and require sampling before making further judgements. Sometimes they're crimes against flavor palates around the world. What they all have in common is that I always ask for the opinions of my friends (who are often wrong, in my 100% correct food opinions).

So I'd like to bring the tradition to Cohost. Let us judge these food innovations and have good fun in the comments.

while i'm aware this is a thing that can be done i'm also acutely aware of the way the thought of it being done churns my stomach. lol
