I hold that the most innovative feature cohost.org has is a DM system where if someone is harassing you in DMs but would otherwise deflect screenshots as hearsay or doctored, you can Simply Hit Publish and remove all question.
Death threats? hit publish. Some guy hitting on you inappropriately? publish. Someone trying to get a rise out of you to exploit later, or already did? hit publish.
sure, it has a chilling effect on DMs with people you don't trust ("What if they hit publish to harm me / they don't like me / etc"), but on one hand that's a small price to pay, and on the other hand like... yeah its probably a good thing that people have to put more thought into the social consequences of DMing people you don't know well.
So far the community has had great restraint and wisdom here in terms of which not-ask asks get published, and I hope we can keep that going.
