Logitech's shitty fucking GHub software is the only program I've ever known that is dumb enough to uninstall itself during an update, and not finish installing the new update.
It just does half a backflip and completely wrecks its shit.

RIP Cohost 2024. You were the best social media site to have ever been done. Long live eggbug. If you're seeing this in the future, on some archive, be kind to others. It's the only way things get better.
Links in bio.

Sun’s Java runtime did that for me once. It nagged me and nagged me to install an update and I Did Not Care but eventually acquiesced to shut it up, and it got halfway through the update process and crashed, and when I inspected the wreckage, it turned out that it was completely and cleanly uninstalled.
I considered it a favour tbh
Ahahaha, yeah that's almost exactly what happened here, except it's not a full uninstall. It gets as far as self-deleting its own executible and failing to replace it before the update 'ended' (crashed?).
Thankful, since it's basically my macro software in addition to my KB/M config, so I'd be quite mad if I lost all my macros/configs.
