They want 65 Dollarydoos at minimum for entry. $45 for Dragonflight itself, and $20 for a single month of subscription. Fucking hell, that's awful.
Worse yet, they're not doing deeper discounts on Dragonflight; instead, their """value add""" is that Dragonflight is now included in the pre-order for The War Within! Which is 75 Dollarydoos alone, with no game time, so almost fuckin' $100. Absurd.
I curse the fucknut that made these decisions to have an agonizing life with more sorrow than happiness. Blizzard puts so many fucking time gates into the game, why the fuck are they worried about including a single free month of sub-time with their expac? It can't even be exchanged into a token to sell on the AH anyway. Surely free game time would entice new/returning players! These are all rhetorical voidscreams, btw. The answer is, as always, 🪙💰💸💰🪙
