Turns out I was right about yesterday, charging into the abyss etc. Yesterday started off real shit, but ended up very good through effort.
Got pretty much all the household maintenance tasks done (dishes/washing/rubbish/tidy/shower), groceries, and have kept it that way well into today.
It invariably falls back into the prior state, sure, entropy and all that, but damn if it isn't nice to be in a clean home.
The rest of today has been productive as well (cw: blood tests + fainting below). Great couple days overall, if busy. Still a bunch of shit to do on the horizon, but keeping up with it, thankfully.
Even got my partner out to get blood drawn. The nurse was amazing - took time to find a good vein but was one-and-done seamless, and so kind. My partner had a syncope during the third vial (fainting w/ sudden, spontaneous recovery.) The poor girl. But we're all thankfully quite experienced with managing it, so we knew what to expect. She always handles them like a champ, and we have a good laugh about it after. The rapid recovery to a good state kind of resets her a bit, mentally - a soft reboot - so she's doing great.
