i was able to pick up achebe’s african trilogy at a bookstore recently and just finished reading things fall apart for college. hot take, i think the world renown piece of african literature is good. i enjoyed all the arbitrary gender rules and terms, like how the word for ‘woman’ i also the word for a man with no title. the ending is fantastic and perfectly encapsulates orientalism in just a few lines of prose. great read, i highly recommend it
