(fallen london stamps by A recurring theme I've seen re: the various Cohost Dramas(tm) is that staff keep getting dragged out of their non-work hours to put out fires, which honestly genuinely kind of sucks.
Some users suggested that maybe it would actually be better if the site shut down outside of work hours... and while this may have been said in jest, BEHOLD, A SITE ACTUALLY KIND OF BUILT AROUND A SIMILAR PREMISE
The whole concept of this site, in addition to being even more anti-numbers than Cohost, is that you can only post once a day. There's an interface where you write a post and then save it, and at a certain time every day, that post and all other pending posts on the site get released. You can edit your pending post all you want up to that time, but it will only become visible at The Appointed Sitewide Posting Time.
This means that you a) log in only once a day to read stuff, because the site will literally not change if you log in multiple times, and b) because stuff moves so slowly, in theory, fires also move really slowly and it's just not worth stirring up drama.
It's a neat concept! It's not one that worked with my mind, but honestly would with a few small tweaks. (Namely the ability to queue up multiple posts throughout the day for release rather than compressing it all into one big post, because my mind works on the scale of many individual posts I can fire off and forget.) And honestly, I kind of want that platform now, the one that's basically schlaugh but with those small tweaks.
