(fallen london stamps by once again, I am thinking about how federation (the ability to follow and interact with your friends despite being on a different platform/site altogether) is great but the Fediverse (specifically the federated timeline kludging all platforms/sites that so much as brush each other into one big pseudo-centralized pseudo-Twitter) was a massive mistake
I really would love the first without the second, but with the way things panned out, even if it's technically possible it feels socially impossible
