@AriaOfSasha asked:

we've seen you mention Guild Wars 2 stuff before (we think) and we're kinda curious if it's easy to get into nowadays? (Mostly just pursuing potential avenues if we ever hit a point of extreme burnout with XIV)

I'd say that if you can pick up on the differences in how GW2 does combat/exploration/etc and its learning style works for you, it's actually faster to get into than FFXIV? FFXIV kind of drip feeds you by comparison, while GW2 plonks you down in the world, suggests a direction to wander off in, and says "have fun!" Very, very open-ended, but the upside is that you don't have to spend hours and hours slogging through ARR and doing dungeons with like only 15% of your job's kit.

Granted, this is going off of my experience getting into GW2 at launch. I think they try to provide a little more direction now (at the cost of railroading your progression a bit). But yeah, I took to GW2 like a fish to water while FFXIV, as much as I love it now, took no fewer than three attempts over a decade, with my successful attempt requiring clenched teeth and my partners reassuring me through all of ARR that no, seriously, it WILL be worth it!
