I'd say "if you know why you know why" but also there's the aspect of, at character creation, I picked the god I vibed most with, who was (and continues to be) Azeyma - the sun, fire, inquiry, etc. but I've since fleshed out Lucent into a proper character of his own rather than just my avatar, and his patrons are:
- RDM continuity: none, he is godless, not out of disdain so much as "I just work here"
- SGE/Studium continuity: Thaliak, adopted after more or less assimilating into Sharlayan
and while the RDM continuity is technically the "main" one, in practice I'm a SGE/healer main in-game, and would probably play some variant of SGE Continuity Lucent if I ever got into RP. (also I think it's pretty neat that my personal patron would be a fire god while his would be a water god)
...but also like, it has literally next to no effect on game stuff LMAO
