also, as much as I joke about Lucent being a shamelessly indulgent way of indulging in the wildly unrealistic fantasy of being able to mill a bastard (as they say over at the Rogues' Guild) it's when he isn't going around stabbing people left and right that I find him most interesting. he has a malm-wide violent streak, but it's fundamentally born from a desire to help people and a love for Justice. he learns over time to discern situations where violence isn't the most effective approach, and to focus upon helping people in need more than punishing wrongdoers for the sake of it.

despite this, he doesn't become passive, or feel guilt or shame about who he is, and he still revels in the act of beating up a bastard. he's still active, he's still passionate, he's still very unapologetically himself. love that for him
