ftr I am not vegetarian. I am just Super Sensitive about Meat Texture* to the point that it's way easier for me to eat vegetarian stuff most of the time, because then I don't have to burn brain energy worrying that I'll hit a sensory landmine in the middle of my meal.

but GOSH do you know how hard it is to find decent and filling premade vegetarian meals that don't contain a Cursed Vegetable. (there's a few but the big one is celery. fuck celery. I will begrudgingly eat peas and maybe cucumbers on a good day but I cannot tolerate celery. and IT'S IN EVERYTHING.)

also I legitimately like vegetables more than meat for 80% of purposes, but it's just fuckin HARD to use a whole thing of spinach before it goes bad, especially with OCD Contagion Hellbrain and Bug Phobia. (did you know that those clamshells of baby spinach love to have Bugs in them???) and also sometimes The Bloodlust comes over me and the only thing that sates it is vigorously ripping meat from bones

*for the purposes of Texture Bads, our brain does not consider fish or bacon "meat." fortunate for me!

in reply to @bazelgeuse-apologist's post:

I wish it was easier to avoid meat. I could really go without it if it wasn't 99% of every menu or snuck into every ingredient list unnecessarily. Grains and veggies are genuinely good and don't make my stomach feel bad. The moral stuff is a definite plus too :P

I would probably miss fish though!
