(fallen london stamps by saw a P9S party finder where someone was helping their friend clean up LC1. decided to join, just to be helpful and also because I need practice on everything past LC1. I was all geared up for a full 90 minute session but we, cleared?? by the skin of our teeth, but still!
so I guess that makes it my second clear! zero books and zero loot since I'd already skipped to P10S this week, but very, very rewarding.
even with extremes, it was always my preference to join learning/prog groups when using party finder. it might be just me, but I've found their vibes to be significantly better than clear/farm groups. and while that means my actual clear rate is abysmal, clearing and loot are much less important to me than helping people and having a good time.
I just wish the reward system for savage felt less... FOMO-inducing, like it'd be nice to be able to take a week off from reclearing and then fully indulge myself if I decide to spend a whole week doing nothing but savage. our brain likes to do things in bursts! but at the very least, there's augmented credendum now, even if it's not best in slot
I feel like, in order to not go mad when doing high-end content with Party Finder, I have to go in with a specific mindset and specific goals. namely, that my first priority is having a good time, my second is helping people learn, and my third is helping myself learn. loot and clears need to be very, very distant.
in a little over half a year, 7.0 is going to come out and obsolete all the BiS gear, and even sooner than that, 6.55 is going to come out and unlock the weekly limits on savage. going to P11S and beating up [best boy] is a matter of when, not if. so I'm not going to stress about it. (I say as I stress anyway about not having BiS so I can Bring My Very Best for my pals and for PF)
