after taking a few shots at the fall guys stuff I have come to three conclusions:

  • I'm bad at it. like, REALLY bad. like "I can be the only person in the instance and still lose because I timed out to getting whacked off the platform 69 times" bad
  • the mechanics involved are ones I personally find unfun. I'm a "solve for the square root of 2873 with your feet" kind of memer, not an "all your controls are ~fucked~" kind of memer
  • I'm allergic to competitive stuff in general, even silly stuff like this. I can only sometimes make it through Frontlines and that's by hyperfocusing on following A Specific Person around

a lot of love was clearly poured into this event and I absolutely adore it in concept, but running the actual stages is nothing but an exercise in frustration for me. like I'm not even sure if an Exclusive Ronka can bribe me into doing this seriously and you KNOW that is A Statement from me

unfortunately, I do want to collect casualwear. thankfully, it turns out you get a lot of rewards even from losing? so I've taken to just queueing in and afking - I'll put in a good faith effort if we're low on bodies and my effort is needed to get everyone to the next stage faster, but otherwise I just... hang out and work on other stuff in the background. I figure people don't mind the freer win!
