a FFXIV discord I'm in is discussing the possibility of squenix sundering one of the existing very-populated DCs and moving a world or two to Dynamis to help with their underactivity issues

in which case I volunteer my world for the New Sundering, please put me on the same DC as all the newbies while letting me keep my FC bonuses ty

but tbh like, with a few exceptions (as with all things), a lot of Dynamis is sweethearts and I would be THRILLED to have more reason to help out in queues there! I haven't been there as much lately only because I've been leveling ninja and black mage sporadically and really want my +20% kill exp buff from my FC

also like, I do hope they pick one of the more laid-back worlds to move if that ends up being the case... I feel like that would mesh better with "worlds full of newbies"

i just want faerie to stop being congested :( its been congested for every patch but one for the past eight months. i wish data center travel didnt include party finder becuase aether is a nightmare now that its become mandatory to raid on

Someone also suggested restricting what you can do on other DCs, namely:

You can't queue for duties unless you have a local in your party
You can't make new Party Finders (though you can join them)
You can't buy stuff from the marketboards

and tbh I would wholeheartedly support this! I really would like each DC to develop its own Party Finder culture in particular so I have options besides Aether's, which doesn't really mesh with me haha

i miss playing on the dead server so bad but i run a free company with over 100 members so its not like i can just dig up our plot and throw it through the dimensions

it's funny cause like, Dynamis has the Road to 80 stuff but even that doesn't get people to stick around on it
